Watford End Liverpool’s Unbeaten English Premier League Run

Liverpool’s unbeaten run in this season’s English Premier League was ended in style on Saturday,29th February, as struggling Watford hammered the European champions 3-0 at their Vicarage Road Stadium.

Two goals by Senegalese star Ismaila Sarr six minutes into the second half, and a third from captain Troy Deeney in the 72nd minute buried the impeccable Liverpool display.

With the defeat Liverpool will not be able to reach the unbeatable record in the EPL, which has been held by Arsenal since 2004 (49 games, compared to 44 by Liverpool.

Netizens mocked Liverpool after they failed to shatter Arsenal’s unbeaten record in the 2003-2004 season.

Arsenal, on the other hand, took it to Twitter to congratulate Liverpool for their good unbeaten run.
