Wazito FC registered their fourth win in a row after edging out Nzoia Sugar in an FKF Premier League match played at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi, on Friday, 22nd January.
Coach Francis Kimanzi’s side came from a goal down to beat the millers 2-1.
Nzoia had taken the lead in the ninth minute through Erick Otieno. Kevin Kimani levelled for the moneybags in the 56th minute before Whyvonne Isuza scored the winner in the 71st minute.
The win moved Wazito FC to third position with 17 points from nine matches played while Nzoia Sugar remained in 11th place with eight points from nine matches.
KCB leads the charts with 18 points after playing seven games. The bankers have lost only one match since the start of the league last November.
In another match played at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani, hosts Mathare United were held to a goalless draw by visiting Bandari FC.
With the draw, the slum boys remained in 17th place on the log with four points, while Bandari moved to the fifth spot with 13 points.
