Relegation-threatened Western Stima beat AFC Leopards 3-2 at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru Town to register their fourth win of the season in the FKF Premier League.
Goals from Michael Karamor in the 13th minute, Baron Oketch (pen) in the 15th minute, and another goal from Geoffrey Ojunga in the 89th minute were enough for the powermen to seal a double over Ingwe this season.
The Leopards scored their two goals in the second half through Collins Shivachi in the 87th minute and Boniface Mukhekhe in the 90+5 minutes.
With the win, Western Stima have movedin to 14th place on the FKF PL table with 21 points from 26 league matches.
Meanwhile, AFC Leopards will temporarily remain third on the table with 43 points from 24 matches. They could be overtaken by fourth-placed Kariobangi Sharks, who face Gor Mahia on Wednesday, 21st July.
In other league matches played on Monday, Bandari FC came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Bidco United. The game ended with two red cards. David Kalama was sent off for Bidco in the 59th minute while Bandari’s Umaru Kasumba was red-carded in the 73rd minute.
Elsewhere, Tusker FC shared the spoils with Mathare United after a goalless draw at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.
