Popular comedian DJ Shiti has excited his fan base and thrilled other Kenyan comedy lovers after pulling off a perfect Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho look.
The celebrated funny man imitated Joho’s unique fashionable style to make an impeccable parody.
Just like the sassy Mombasa Governor in his casual outings, DJ Shiti had black shades, well-trimmed beard/sideburns and there was a Joho look-alike. DJ Shiti, whose real name is Steven Oduor Dede, appears on the Real Housewives of Kawangware TV show aired on NTV.
Posting on his Instagram, the comedian who tagged Joho, delivered a humorous message in Kiswahili to caution his followers against the coronavirus pandemic.
“Tafadhalifini tusipeane mikono, tusitoke nje ifikapo saa moja na tuepuke mikutano yoyote au safari zozote za maana. Pamoja tuangamize Corona….asanteni (insert 001 voice),” he wrote.
Basically, he advised his huge online following to sanitise, avoid public gatherings, refrain from travels and obey the curfew.
Political Satire Show
In other posts, the talented entertainer disclosed that he and other two comedians were launching a satirical political show on YouTube.
DJ Shiti, Yy Comedian and Ezekiel Kelly will be reflecting on the political happenings in the country and putting them into a comical perspective.
Apparently, DJ Shiti’s role will be to crack ribs as the Mombasa Governor and going by the pictures, he will not disappoint.
Ezekiel Kelly is expected to play the character of controversial Canada-based lawyer and political activist Miguna Miguna, while YY Comedian will be the host. You can guess it will be a thriller.
DJ Shiti’s fans said they can’t wait wait to see the “madness” of the trio.
Many were happy that their favourite comedian was making moves in the right direction.
Others felt that DJ Shiti must be making good money in the entertainment industry, as only very few people could attempt to imitate Joho’s expensive fashion style.
