A woman and her daughter were on Sunday, 15th December, found dead at their home in Thika Town.
Thika Sub-County police commander Beatrice Kiraguri said the bodies of the woman aged 30 and her 11-year-old daughter, were found at their home after neighbours reported they had been missing for two days.
Kiraguri said that there was a foul smell coming from the house.
Police had to break into the house only to find the woman and the child lying dead. Both bodies had several stab wounds.
The body of a man believed to be the woman’s husband was also recovered a few kilometres away, hanging from the roof of a house.
The bodies have since been moved to General Kago Funeral home as police investigate the incident.
