Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has made his first public appearance after the August 9 General Election.

Kalonzo arrived at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi to join other Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leaders.

The alliance convened a meeting of political leaders who have been confirmed by the electoral commission to have won in their counties and constituencies.

The Azimio winners conference will brought together governors, senators, Members of Parliament and Woman Representatives.

Kalonzo exuded confidence that Azimio would control Parliament.

He also predicted that Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga will win the presidency.

Should Raila succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, Kalonzo will be the Chief Cabinet Minister – equivalent to Prime Minister. Fundamentally, he will be the most powerful person in the Azimio administration after Raila and his running mate Martha Karua.

“We are here to know each other and celebrate each other. We assure the country we know where we are heading,” Kalonzo said.

Azimio Secretary-General Junet Mohamed, who was with Kalonzo at KICC, while he addressing the media quipped: “You are dealing with the Prime Minister (Kalonzo).

Azimio supporters have been taking to social media platforms to praise Kalonzo for ring-fencing the Ukambani region for Raila.

Kalonzo has delivered at least 75 percent of the votes in the Lower Eastern bloc.

Many Azimio followers stressed that the Wiper boss must be accorded utmost respect should Raila win.
